Mustard oil is extracted by pressing the mustard seeds. The most common method used is expeller pressing, which involves feeding the seeds into a rotating screw chamber that compresses the seeds and forces the oil out through small holes. In order to extract oil from mustard seeds, a 3-stage pressing process is used.
