Cottonseed oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the cotton plant after the cotton lint has been removed. It’s composed of linters(10%), cotton shell(40~45%) and kernel. the oil content of cotton seed is 15%-25%, the oil content of kernel is 30%-40% after decorticating. Within the cottonseed oil processing plant, oils extracted from cottonseed must be refined to remove gossypol, a naturally occurring toxin that protects the cotton plant from insect damage.

Cottonseed oil is extracted from seeds of cotton plant by different extracting methods. Similar to other oil-bearing seeds, cotton seed has outer shell and the kernel in the shell is the main part that contains cottonseed oil. The oil content of cotton seed kernel is about 35% ~ 45%, and protein is about 39% and 0.2%-2% of cotton phenol
Application: It is widely used to extract more oil from the cotton seed cake, soybean seed cake etc. (the residual oil ratio in final oil meal can reach to 1%) Normally, after oil pressing or expelling process, the oil content in oil cake is around 8-13%, through this equipment, customer can get about 7% more oil.
