Cotton Seed Solvent Extraction Plant: Cotton seed oil is a cooking oil which extracted from the seeds of cotton plant of various species. An undelinted seed composition is about:8-10% of lint, 18-22% of oil, 30-35% of meal and 30-35% of hulls.
The complete cotton processing plant has a series of process, including delintering, dehusking, oil pressing, solvent extraction for oil, oil refining and more. Now, it has been a popular for many investors or oil millers to start or expand their edible oil manufacturing business by setting up cotton seed oil processing plant .

The wet meal from the oil extractor enters the DTDC desolventizing the cottonseed oil extraction plant. After pre-desolventizing, desolventizing, drying, and cooling, the solvent is removed and the dry meal is obtained and sent to the meal storehouse for packaging.
Cottonseed oil is extracted using either a solvent extraction method or the full press method to produce high quality clarified crude oil and low-fat press cake. Some possessors cycle the seeds through a flaking mill , like the French 2452 model with chilled cast iron rolls, to change the tissue structure of the oilseed cells while pressing

Cottonseed could either be processed by the traditional crude method of crushing seed without Delinting in un-decorticated form or by scientific processing used for Cotton Seed Processing, which involves removal of De-linters, decortication, separation of hull, expelling, solvent extraction and refining of oil. Scientific processing of Cotton
Cottonseed Oil Pressing / Expelling (by using Mechanical Screw type Oil Press); Cottonseeds can be pre-pressed before they get sent directly to the refinery plant. To handle 20 tons of cottonseed per day, the solvent extraction method is used with cottonseed oil prepress to take parts of the oil.

The solvent extraction is a method of separating oil from cottonseed by using the difference in the selective solubility of solvents for oil and cottonseed solid phases. During the extraction process, the solvent ( e.g. petroleum ether ) is fully mixed with cottonseed powder or crushed cottonseed to dissolve the oil in the solvent.
Within the cottonseed oil processing plant, oils extracted from cottonseed must be refined to remove gossypol, a naturally occurring toxin that protects the cotton plant from insect damage. Cottonseed meal is a good source of protein. It is the byproduct remaining after cotton is ginned and the seeds crushed and the oil extracted.
