Palm oil pressing line refers to the palm oil production process to extract crude palm oil out from fresh palm fruit bunches(FFB). The standard palm oil production process mainly includes seven steps.
Cameroon produced 210,000 tons of crude palm oil in 2010, across an estate of approximately 190,000 hectare. Production of palm oil in Cameroon is distributed across three plantation types or scales: • Agro-industrial plantations (58,860 ha producing 120,000 tons); • Supervised smallholderplantations (35,000 ha producing 30,000 tons), and

to switch to planting oil palm (Ngando et al. 2011). This is further illustrated by the fact that the purchase of germinated oil palm seeds (chitted nuts) by small- and medium-sized farmers at the Centre for Oil Palm Research at La Dibamba (Cameroon) rose from 20% of the total production in 1996 to an average of 60% during the past 10 years.

These expellers have been the dominant–if not the exclusive equipment–used by small-scale palm oil processors in Cameroon. In Ghana and south africaia the earliest equipment introduced was the Stork manual hydraulic press. The impression was created that, for economic reasons, the only operation that needed mechanisation was oil pressing.
After pressing, oil palm fruit is divided into two parts: the mixture of oil, water and solid impurities, and the press cake (fiber and nut). The pulp stone separation obtained CPO and stone, press machine adopts the double screw helix continuous discharge and hydraulic, greatly improving production efficiency.

In pressing stage, mechanical screw palm oil pressing machine is used to extract the oil out of digested palm pulp which is a mixture of oil, water, fibre and nuts. Hydraulic presses and the older centrifuges have been deemed almost redundant today as palm oil processing plants these days use specifically designed screw-presses much like the
Crude palm oil (CPO) contains moisture and impurities after palm oil pressing. CPO begins primary treatment through sand tank and screen, enters vertial clarification tank to make heating and stirring, and finally separate into waste oil and edible vegetable oil. Edible vegetable oil is sent to crude oil storage tank after drying.
