A Palm frond shredder / mulching machine that would serve my needs may not exist. US$40,000.00 for a shredder and the Bismarckia leave bases jam the machine? It makes since to me though, when I was cutting the fronds up by hand, you needed to cut perpendicular (90 degrees) against the way the fibres ran.

I am presently charging as follows: T770 - $120/hr, Tandem gravel truck - $110, Delivery - $100, Labour - $35, T770 with mulcher - $150-170 (depending on customers requirements) (Teeth extra if rocky soil). I haven't gotten any complaints about my rates. The mulcher definitely uses way more fuel.
