The moisture of copra for coconut oil extracting is about 10% -20%, and grinding diameter of copra is better about 0.3cm in diameter, and the granules are pressed into thin flakes to expand the surface area of coconut oil pressing. Generally, the oil cake of coconut oil is about 6% to 7%. The features of oil cake coming out from a good copra oil press machine are the cake is light brown and the highest residual oil is 8%. Coconut oil composition includes coconut oil, lauric, oleic, octanoic, palmitic, stearic and other essential fatty acids, as well as vitamin E. Coconut oil is produced by cold-pressing from virgin coconut or dried coconut pulp. The oil has a low melting point of about 24 degrees, and in a cool place becomes almost dense solid.

Copra coconut are solid and not suitable for elevator. Small scraper conveyor is also not recommended sine the imports is too small which has feeding difficulties. Large scraper is costly and not worthwhile. Therefore, belt conveyor is chosen. The angle should not exceed 30 °, otherwise the copra is easy to fall. Iron remover is equipped in the conveyor before the crushing process, so as to prevent the damage of metal material to the processing equipment, and also guarantee the quality of the cake meal of coconut oil.
