The Sigite Mukus Integrated Rural Development Project is a 15,805 ha planted oil palm plantation over 6 estates with a 60 MT/hour capacity palm oil mill, at Pomio District, East New Britain Province. The project employs around 5,600 people. The palm oil mill produces crude palm oil and crude palm kernel oil for export.

Four years ago, RH subsidiary company Gilford Ltd obtained a licence to clear the forests around Pomio and plant oil palms. "It is one of the most important agriculture projects in Papua New ethiopia. It has received huge support from the local populous in the area," said Axel Wilhelm, RH's corporate policy manager.
